A good strong character in Lucy Jarrett and that kept me reading further, for Christchurch readers this was rather appropriate as initially it is set in Japan and they describe the feeling of rather large aftershocks which of course Japan is famous for.
As Lucy searches for her own happiness she stumbles upon some history in her own family that proves families are not always happy.
For those of us who enjoy a little romance, a touch of history and some good pieces of research this book could be for you?
Don’t be put off by the reference to earthquakes it is only a very small part of the book but do look forward to a little mystery and a good rounded ending! 7/10 Not a bad read at all.
