Events at the Libraries

We hold a number of regular events at our library branches, as well as our holiday craft sessions, Kidsfest events during the July holidays and our summer and winter Reading Programmes.

Check out our What's On page for details of where and when things happen.

Rhymetime and Story time

Rhymetime is a fun, interactive session of stories, songs, rhyme and bubbles! Aimed at children under 18 months.

Storytime is a fun interactive session of stories, activities and songs. Aimed at 2-5 year olds.

Children's Book Clubs

A great way to encourage your child to experience the fun and joy of reading, our Children's Book Clubs are immensely popular. They meet once a month to share their what they have been reading, see the new books that have arrived at the library, take part in an activity and have afternoon tea as well!

Check out when and where your closest club meets - because of their popularity, you may need to join a waiting list.

Adult Book Groups

Book discussion groups are a fun and popular way to expand your reading subjects, meet people in your area and share your thoughts and ideas about reading.

Our sessions are organised to be a discussion over a cup of tea and a bikkie, rather than strict literary criticism. We read across a variety of genres and this helps extend our reading experience to include things we may not necessarily have chosen before.

Check our when and where your closest Book Group meets.
