Our World in Words

Be inspired! Join The School for Young Writers to discover Our World in Words. Create a story, pen a poem, or play with prose. The tutors are all award-winning writers who will help you choose the right words and place them in the best order to get across what you want to say.

Sessions available for school years 4–7 and 7–10

Session details:

Leeston Library – Thursday 12 July, 10am–12pm and 1–3pm
Lincoln Library – Friday 20 July, 10am–12pm and 1–3pm

Cost per session $10. Bookings are essential, and can be made either by emailing schoolforyoungwriters@gmail.com or filling in the online form at www.schoolforyoungwriters.org

Come and join the fun! Explore the world of Kahuna Kidsongs with fresh, fun, handmade and home-spun story-songs for children aged five and up, using electric ukuleles, guitars, puppets and iPads.

Try your hand at cartography – the art and science of map making! Create a map of your world, or invent your own. Treasure maps, historical maps, country maps, town maps… the world is yours.
