Membership
Free membership is available to all residents of Selwyn District with appropriate ID. You are required to fill in a simple membership form, and produce appropriate ID, which in the case of a member over the age of 15 years is photo ID. A parent/caregiver enrolling children under 16 will be asked for photo ID.
Your library card ensures that you may borrow from any of the District's libraries, and the mobile library.
Please bring your library card when visiting the library. You may borrow up to a maximum of 50 items at any one time.
However, only two books may be borrowed without a library card, in which case you may be asked for ID
You are responsible for every item borrowed on your card, and also for items borrowed by any of your children under the age of 16 years.
